Ani. My friend, my little brother.

Ani. My little brother. There used to be a time when he would run toward me every time he was caught in the midst of - so to say - trouble and hold me against it all like a shield.

There used to be a time when we used to run all the way to school after missing the school bus, with me carrying both our schoolbags. There used to be a time when he used to look up to me like I was his role model, telling me all that happened and was happening in his life, confessing and confiding in me. Sharing with me. And sometimes, fighting with me. But almost always, caring. Yet, don't know when, where, how, and most importantly, why, I lost him.

It's almost two years since. Ever since I miss my once very dear friend, my little brother. Almost every single day.

Trust

Read somewhere, ‘The honesty of a judge is like the virginity of a traditional Indian unmarried girl. If it is questioned, the doubt can never be laid to rest.’

Till it’s there, it’s there. When it’s gone, it’s gone forever.

Maybe. Or, maybe not.

A storm, that stuck me...

You are the beginning of a new era in my life.

My life itself has been divided into the lfe after and before I met you. And that's how important you are to me.

All that happened before seem to be for a purpose now. I no longer want to go back in time and change things. I am happy for the way things are. You are now to me an even bigger dream than all my dreams put together.

I need you. I need you. I need you. Now and forever.

Please don't let me down this time God.

On love. And sorry.

Agreed that love means never having to say you are sorry.
But then saying sorry makes you feel less sorry of having hurt someone you love.

Of being special...

Every single day we grow more and more in love. And every single thing I share in every single moment I spent with you, adds up to the countless little things that makes you special to me, making you even more special.

Mind works of a goat!!!

Manor Park. East Ham. Purfleet. East Ham. Illford. Warwick. Tooting. Stratford. That's how many addresses I've changed between July 2008 & July 2009. Gosh!! Am I ever going to add a little stability to my life?!

(Well, I had to change two more times after Stratford within East Ham itself to settle down at 27 Lawrence Road for a very long time from November 2009 to March 2011 to be precise.)

Delicious Scamsters

Warning
Some very good advice…

Me, yes me scammed – of all people. Here’s what happened.

I became a victim of a clever Lebanese scam while out shopping. Simply dropping into City Centre Mall at the Corniche has turned out to be quite traumatic. Don't be naive enough to think it couldn't happen to you or one of your friends.

Here's how the scam works: Two seriously good-looking voluptuous 20-21 year-old girls come over to your car as you are packing your shopping into the boot. They both start cleaning your windscreen. Their large firm young assets almost falling out of their skimpy T-shirts. It's impossible not to look.

When you thank them and offer them a tip, they'll say 'No' and instead ask you for a lift to another store, in my case, LandMark Mall at Gharaffa. You agree, and they both get in the back seat. On the way, (They suggest you take all the smaller lanes in Doha to reach LandMark, to make the journey more enjoyable). And then they start undressing, and both get completely naked. Then, when you pull over to remonstrate, one of them climbs over into the front seat and starts crawling all over your lap, kissing you, touching you intimately, and thrusting herself against you, while the other one steals your wallet!

I had my wallet stolen March 4th, 9th, 10th, twice on the 15th, 17th, 20th, 24th, and 29th. Also April 1st, 4th, twice on the 6th, 7 times in the Month of May, three times last Saturday and very likely again this coming weekend.

So Be Warned!

P.S. Lulu Hypermarket have wallets on sale for QR. 150.00 each. Best buys are Rameez Shopping Centre or Sofitel at National Area, where they are available for QR. 20/- onwards.

(This is what my dear friend from Doha had to say about his experience in Doha early this summer. And I am guessing, he is still getting scammed almost every other day. BTW for those who are ignorant about the money value 1 QR = 10 INR appox. And 1GBP = 80 INR appox. So 1 QR must be about 1/8th of a GBP appox which should obviously mean 1 GBP = 8 QR. So as you also may note my inefficient calculations, please get yourself on the internet and find yourself a currency calculator to take an estimate of how much it would be to get yourself scammed in similar manner.) ABV.: QR is Qatar Riyal. INR is Indian Rupee. GBP is Great Britian Pound.

Why do I think a lot?

Fools and fanatics are always certain of themselves, but wiser people are full of doubts.

Secret. Of Success.

Earlier, I only stared at the girls. And just thought. But now, I stare and talk what I think. And guess what?! I have started ‘getting’ as well!

Ever After. Truly.

I am sure this marriage will work, at least for as long as we remain married, for the simple reason that she’s even more in love with me than I am with her. Truly, a potential happily ever after.

Boy. Aged 30 years.

Let’s face it. I am a 30 years old over-grown boy. The oldest ‘boy’ in the world.

Reunion

He stands watching the juggler perform standing in the front of the circular crowd. She spots him from the top of the nearby shopping complex, and calls him out. He listens and looks around.

Later when he finally spots her, he finds her head popping out from the top of the crowd of the heads, leaping and falling, calling him out, ‘eta’, ‘eta’.

They hug each other like they met after a long time. The attentions of the people in the crowd turn towards them from the juggler. The united lovers realize this much later. And disentangle, embarrassed. They let out a sheepish grin and make their way out of the crowd holding each other’s hands.

A promise.

He wrote on a paper, ‘I’ll not cry because of this anymore’, and stuck on the wall with a cello-tape. He looked at it and re-read the line once again. Then he tore it off the wall and crumbled it before tossing it away.

Going on 30

With my father it seem like it has been ages since we had a talk. The last time I talked to him was on my 29th birthday. At 12 am sharp, I got a message from him saying, ‘thirty years ago….’, I couldn’t help the formation of a lump in my throat. Next morning when I called up and heard his voice over the phone, I couldn’t help tears either. But I was seriously surprised at the same time too. ‘Thirty’?! How on the earth could he go wrong with that?

Well, even though I’ve been feeling thirty since I was 27. but ‘thirty’, there’s yet another year for that.

And as far as I can remember it has been like ages before I turned 27. Back then I always wanted to be a 27. but now that I am past all that, I dread the thought of being a ‘thirty’. No. Never. I just don’t want to be.

Autumn. The beginnings.

As I was speaking I felt the drizzle on my face. And even before I could realize the drops hit me hard. I looked up surprised to find they were actually ice cubes. OMG! It was a hailstorm. It was raining ice cubes in my back yard. That was my first experience, and later that night it quietly snowed. I woke up to find it was all covered with snow. As if someone had strewn white sand all around.

It was the first snow of the season. And it was only the beginning of winter.

That morning at work we had a consignment to be delivered at South Hampton. Bits of snow rolled off the cars before us, as we sped away at a speed above 80 mph along the motorway. It seemed strange. Since the displays along the motorway had a blinking circle around it and the screens warned ‘go slow’ due to ‘low visibility’.

Stakes. On aspirations.

Stakes were riding high on me. They were all pampering me bit too much in the sole hope that I will actually fulfill all my dreams.
